<p class="MsoNormal">We have an open position for a SIMS operator/scientist on our team at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. We are seeking a qualified scientist to enhance our growing capability in secondary ion mass spectrometry and characterization
of nuclear materials. The candidate should have magnetic sector SIMS experience, around the level of a post-master’s degree. While we are expecting to teach the specific SIMS applications for this position, the incumbent should understand the basics of making
measurements, including<span style="color:#000066"> </span>sample preparation<span style="color:#000066">,
</span>instrument operation and data collection, data reduction and analysis, and interpretation. Analysis of production samples on a Cameca ims 7f-GEO and/or ims 1280-HR will be an important part of the position, but there are opportunities for participation
on other projects, and we encourage scientific growth. We are a growing team with diverse applications, and we are looking for creative scientists to help us meet our challenges.
