Department of Geology and Geography at Georgia Southern University invites
applications for a Master of Science in Applied Geography. We are seeking a
student with an interest in the remote sensing of tidal habitats. Responsibilities
include, but are not limited to, (1) assisting in the collection of ground
survey data on tidal marsh and forest habitats and elevation, (2) processing
and interpreting drone, aerial, satellite, and LIDAR imagery, and (3) producing
habitat, elevation, and biophysical maps using image analysis software and
routines. This research will be conducted in cooperation with the Georgia
Coastal Ecosystems LTER, an NSF supported research project based at the
University of Georgia Marine Institute (<a href="https://ugami.uga.edu/" style="color:rgb(5,99,193)">https://ugami.uga.edu/</a>).
