The primary duty of this position is full-time teaching in the ABET-accredited four-year degree Bachelor of Science in Geomatics, in the two-year Associate of Applied Science, as well as in Minor in GIS. Courses may include, but are not limited to, undergraduate
 Geomatics courses, including the fundamentals of surveying, advanced surveying, GPS, GIS, geodesy, mapping and map projections, boundary law, adjustment theory and practice, hydrographic surveying, geomatics computations, computer-aided drafting. Other duties
 include, but are not limited to community service (including university, community and professional); continuing the ABET accreditation process and other assessment activities; advising students; developing outreach programs to the larger community; assisting
 with curriculum development and with program and faculty growth and development; writing and managing grants; publishing the results of research in academic journals; participation on committees within the Department of Geomatics, the College of Engineering
 and the University; and working cooperatively with faculty and staff in the Department and the College of Engineering. The successful candidate may also be asked to chair the Department of Geomatics at some future date (on a rotational basis) while teaching
