<p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0">We are seeking to appoint a research fellow position in planktonic foraminiferal taxonomy, to be held at the Department of Earth Sciences at UCL. The position is part of the NERC-funded project 'Does developmental plasticity
influence speciation? (PISTON)' and will examine Miocene to Recent planktonic forminiferal evolution and palaeoecology through trace element/Ca and oxygen and carbon isotope signatures and determine gradients through the water column across speciation events. </p>

<p>The post is funded for 24 months in the first instance. The successful candidate will have a PhD, or thesis submitted subject to examination, in a relevant branch of the geosciences or biosciences. Established expertise and a proven portfolio of research
in the identification of multiple species of Neogene and/or Recent planktonic foraminifera is essential.</p>
