<p class="MsoNormal"><b>Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Arctic Freshwater Sciences<o:p></o:p></b></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">A post-doctoral position, supported by the Polar Knowledge Canada funding, with a focus on hydrology and biomass movement across the lake and river networks that govern production, biodiversity and ecosystem services in coastal Arctic freshwaters,
is available as of April 2019. The position is part of a project that studies lakes and rivers as conduits of organic carbon and other nutrients that support downstream ecosystems, and is led by Milla Rautio (UQAC), Michael Power (Waterloo) and Joseph Culp
(Wilfrid Laurier).<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Fieldwork would be done near Cambridge Bay on Victoria Island, with logistical support from the Polar Continental Shelf Program. The lab/office site for the post-doc is flexible. It could be based at Université du Québec à Chicoutimi, University
of Waterloo or Wilfrid Laurier University.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Applicants should have a PhD in earth or environmental sciences. Previous Arctic field experience and experience working and consulting with northern communities would be a major asset.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">The position is funded by the Polar Knowledge Canada funding and we are currently seeking funding from other sources for two additional years. The position is available as of April 1 but the latest is June so that the individual can plan
