<b>Assistant Research Scientist, Geophysicist</b> to develop and sustain an independent geophysical research program aimed at innovative and strategic development, and applications of shallow and environmental seismic geophysical methods to contribute to multi-disciplinary
research programs within the Prairie Research Institute and beyond. The position will be based in Champaign, Illinois.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:"Garamond",serif">Qualifications include a Ph.D. in geophysics, geology, engineering, or a related discipline that is appropriate with major duties. Preferred qualifications include
<b>expertise and knowledge of integrating various 1-D and 2-D geophysical methods, and knowledge of geophysical program strategies to contribute to shallow, unconsolidated sediment and aquifer characterization</b>.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
