primarily using numerical models. It is a mission-oriented

within the Ocean and Cryosphere division of the Geophysical
Fluid Dynamics Laboratory (GFDL) to support the research
activities related to modeling and understanding ocean and
cryosphere change and variability, and their interactions with
atmospheric circulation and marine ecosystems.</p>

understanding of the change and variability of the Atlantic
meridional overturning circulation (AMOC) and associated impacts
on regional and global scale climate phenomena, which is crucial
for interpreting the historical records and projecting future
