The wide range of expertise within the department provides unique opportunities for multi-disciplinary research in the geosciences.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Essential Job Duties<o:p></o:p></p><p style='line-height:13.5pt'>The NC State College of Sciences brings together the mathematical, physical, and biological sciences. The Head reports to the Dean of the College of Sciences and is responsible for administrative, budgetary, and personnel matters.<o:p></o:p></p><p style='line-height:13.5pt'>The Head is expected to set the highest standard for the Department with regard to scholarship and professional activities and to have a balanced appreciation for teaching, research, consulting, and multidisciplinary collaboration.<o:p></o:p></p><p style='line-height:13.5pt'>Inclusiveness and diversity are integral to NC State’s commitment to excellence in research, engagement, and education.
