        University of Wisconsin-Madison will be accepting applications
        for a tenure-track faculty position in Freshwater<b> </b>Ecology
        at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in the fall of
        2018. The position is based at the Center for Limnology, with a
        tenure home in the Department of Integrative Biology. We will
        seek a candidate with a Ph.D. in Freshwater Ecology or similar
        field who will develop an internationally recognized program on
        the ecology of freshwaters. </span></p>
    <p class="MsoNormal"
      style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto;
      line-height:normal"><span
        style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New
        Roman","serif";
        mso-fareast-font-family:"Times New Roman"">Applications
        will be particularly encouraged from candidates with a
        background in fish and fisheries ecology, and who consider fish
        in a broader ecosystem context. Other potential areas of
        interest include quantitative ecology, aquatic conservation,
        community and ecosystem ecology, food web interactions,
        limnology, and global environmental change. Our goal is to hire
        an outstanding and interactive individual with broad interests
        and promise for intellectual growth and scholarship.
        Expectations include excellence in research and graduate
        training, engagement in interdisciplinary and collaborative
        research, ability to maintain a vigorous extramurally funded
        research program, and skilled teaching at undergraduate and
        graduate levels. </span></p>
