<div dir="ltr"><h2>Tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor in Organic Chemistry at the University of Iowa<br></h2><h2></h2><h3>Requisition # 73192</h3><p>The Department of Chemistry at the University of Iowa seeks
applications to fill a tenure-track Assistant Professor or Associate
Professor position in Organic Chemistry broadly defined effective August
2019. A competitive salary and start-up package will be provided. The
successful candidate will have opportunities to interact with a number
of Centers and Institutes with focus on the physical, biological, and

<p>Applicants must clearly demonstrate potential to develop and lead
a nationally-prominent, externally-funded research program. The
successful candidate must also add to the teaching mission of the
Department in organic chemistry through excellent teaching skills and a
commitment to excellence in instruction at all levels (small and large
enrollment, laboratory, and graduate courses). Candidates must have a
doctoral degree in chemistry or a closely related field and a strong,
promising record of scholarship and productivity. </p>
<p>The Department has appointed 8 new tenure-track faculty members
in the past 10 years and recently completed a major building renovation
that provides state-of-the-art facilities for teaching and research. The
University also provides a wide range of accessible state-of-the-art
research facilities, as well as outstanding opportunities for
interdisciplinary interactions with major campus initiatives and
research centers.</p>

their academic qualifications and professional experience, CV, and

describe 1) their current expertise and future goals for an independent
research program in organic chemistry; 2) their beliefs, practices, and
interests in teaching, and 3) how their teaching, service, and/or
