 $50M in research funding as part of a total college budget of approximately $115M per year and manages over 350 currently active research projects. The college ranks 5th nationally in total R&D expenditures in the mathematical and statistical sciences and
 is third nationally among land-grant universities in the NRC ranking of research doctoral programs in genetics. The Associate Dean for Research oversees the pre- and post-award research administration functions, centralized facilities including the biological

 elevate the College’s research and graduate programs and to promote the integration of the College research areas with University focus areas, by partnering with University-level offices that develop and facilitate world class research.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

 the College research programs and support strong graduate programs. Specific areas of emphasis include expanding interdisciplinary and translational research and associated graduate programs, facilitating a robust research infrastructure, developing expertise

 for the College, and will represent and advocate for the College in various venues including university-wide committees and working groups focused on research. This individual will work closely with the Senior Associate Dean for Administration and Director
 of Information Technology on management of research space, facilities and computing. The Associate Dean will work closely with the Assistant Dean for Finance and Business Management on post-award administration activities, cost-sharing commitments and F&A
 allocation. The Associate Dean for Research oversees the College Research Office, as well as centralized research-focused facilities.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

 for interdisciplinary research and organize initiatives to establish new research clusters, research centers and interdisciplinary research. The Associate Dean for Research must maintain expertise regarding the federal strategic policy and funding environment
