<p class="MsoPlainText">The Department of Soil, Water, and Climate at the University of Minnesota (U of M) seeks a faculty member with strong expertise in climate science and a passion for public engagement and for communicating climate information to key stakeholders
such as agricultural producers, natural resource managers, industry, the broader public, and policymakers.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoPlainText">This is a nine-month tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor with duties divided between Extension (60%) and Research (40%). The position is in the Department of Soil, Water, and Climate on the flagship
Twin Cities campus of the U of M. Applications are encouraged from candidates with expertise in any relevant area of climate science, such as meteorology, climatology, atmospheric chemistry, hydroclimatology, hydrometeorology, etc.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoPlainText">The appointee will be expected to develop an extension program to communicate critical climate and meteorological information useful for decision making, and to develop a locally, nationally, and internationally recognized research program
