for an enthusiastic, talented and creative Ph.D. student to join my research group and investigate fundamental and applied atmospheric turbulent transport and land-water-atmosphere interactions over complex, mountainous terrain.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">
</span><u>This position combines ambitious field studies with theory and modeling techniques to research how turbulence in the atmosphere transports heat, water, momentum and pollutants</u>.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">
</span>Potential research applications include meteorological and hydrological forecasting, quantifying greenhouse gas exchange/emissions, and water and air quality.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">
</span>The <u>position has funding/tuition support</u>, for which the duration and amount depend on the student’s background and level of experience.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">
