The researcher will compile and analyse a dataset of forest inventory observations with global scope, with the aim of advancing our ability to answer the above questions at the large-scale and to derive functions appropriate for use in global vegetation models.
This information will be used to investigate the effects of tree mortality on forest structure and function, and help constrain projections of terrestrial carbon uptake.
