<p class="MsoNormal">The Union of Concerned Scientists’ Science Network is an inclusive community of scientists and technical experts who want to use their expertise to tackle the world’s most pressing problems. Through a combination of effective actions, resources
 to strengthen advocacy and public engagement skills, and events that offer peer-based support, we are building a cohort of local leaders and teams—and empowering them to tackle pressing science-based issues in their own communities. This person will recruit
 and cultivate relationships with local team leaders; develop tools, trainings, and UCS action opportunities that empower leaders to effectively organize on the ground in their communities; and help integrate local teams’ into UCS’s programmatic efforts. This
 person will also work to uphold the Science Network’s mission of being a diverse and inclusive community. The ideal candidate will be familiar with grassroots organizing, leadership development, and scientist advocacy and be comfortable with travel. Application
