We seek a lecturer who has a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring students. An M.S. degree in geology, Earth or environmental sciences is required, a Ph.D. is preferred. Candidates must demonstrate a record of quality teaching in geology and/or environmental sciences. Candidates with experience teaching courses such as physical, environmental, or historical geology, and hydrological sciences, as well as the ability to teach upper-division environmental science courses are especially welcome to apply. Candidates will be expected to engage in scholarship of teaching and learning as well as actively serve on both departmental and university committees. Interest and ability to mentor and coordinate graduate teaching assistants is essential. Experience with developing curriculum, short courses, or with online teaching is desirable.
