The application deadline is March 25, 2018. The grant is linked to the Thematic Project 2017 / 17047-0 with the title "Aerosols and clouds life-cycles in Amazonia: biogenic emissions, biomass burning and impacts on the ecosystem" coordinated by Prof. Paulo Artaxo. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Calibri">The selected Pos Doc will work on a project that investigates the effects of aerosols in the Amazonian ecosystem, through aerosol mass spectrometry. Through measurements in the ATTO tower (325 meters) in Central Amazonia, measurements in Chacaltaya, Bolivia, in the Andes, at 5,250 meters of altitude and in boats and airplanes, we intend to study the life cycle of aerosols and biogenic gases and how these influence the climate and the Amazonian ecosystem. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Calibri">The candidate must have a doctorate degree and knowledge of aerosol and trace gas measurements, to work in a multidisciplinary team. We aim at a Pos-Doc with some learning capability of Aerosol Mass Spectrometry (AMS) and Proton Transfer Reaction Mass Spectrometry (PTR-MS).
