<p class="MsoNormal">Predict the size and likelihood-of-occurrence of high temperature events which are even more extreme than those already observed in the data set, using methodology from several branches of statistics, but primarily from extreme value analysis.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><b>2: Projecting future global-to-local air quality and climate with data science approaches</b><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Develop new methods that provide future projections of air quality at impact- and policy-relevant spatial scales, using models, observations and a range of novel statistical techniques. <o:p></o:p></p>
