given preference: <strong><span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">the</span></strong> <strong><span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">intersection of environmental risk and health outcomes; the spatial distributions of cultural and biological
phenomena associated with disease; participatory mapping and health inequalities; and medical geography and GIS</span></strong>. The ideal candidate will demonstrate potential for conducting research grounded in both theory and application using quantitative
and/or qualitative methods, and have experience working as part of interdisciplinary teams. The applicant will support the department’s graduate program and be encouraged to seek out broader initiatives across University programs including public health, medicine
and sustainability. While a dynamic research agenda will be expected, supported by commitment to collaborate and receive external funding support, the candidate must also demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in teaching at both the undergraduate and
graduate level, including development of GIS-related courses.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
