<p style="line-height:13.2pt">An Ecologist position (Research Associate I) is available with the Center for Environmental Management of Military Lands (<span class="caps">CEMML</span>) and will located at Travis Air Force Base (<span class="caps">TAFB</span>),
California. The incumbent will provide ecological support and technical assistance supporting natural resource data collection, information management, and planning and decision support for implementation of the Integrated Natural Resources Management Plan
(<span class="caps">INRMP</span>) projects. Duties will include, but not be limited to, managing and monitoring wildlife and plant species, performing surveys, performing public awareness through articles and information materials and supporting communications
between natural resources management and base missions.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p style="line-height:13.2pt"><span class="caps">TAFB</span> is a United States Air Force Base under the operational control of the Air Mobility Command and is located three miles (5 km) east of the central business district of Fairfield, in Solano County,
California, 50 miles northeast of San Francisco and 40 miles southwest of Sacramento. <span class="caps">TAFB</span> is situated on approximately 5,137 acres and is midway between the coastal zone and the interior valley of California. The primary ecological
communities are northern claypan vernal pool and annual grassland, sometimes referred to as vernal pool grassland. This community covers over 90 percent of the natural habitat on the base and in the surrounding landscape. Other communities include lacustrine
marsh, riparian vegetation, planted eucalyptus groves, and urban landscapes.<o:p></o:p></p>
