<p style="margin-bottom:12.0pt;background:white"><span style="color:black">Postdoctoral Associate Position in Interdisciplinary Coastal and Environmental Engineering <br>
University of Florida <br>
<br>
A postdoctoral position is available in the Coastal Ecosystem Dynamics Group at Engineering School for Sustainable Infrastructure and Environment (ESSIE) at University of Florida, Gainesville. The successful candidate will collaborate with Drs Angelini and
Sheremet working on a number of interdisciplinary projects that investigate the effect of human impacts on estuarine hydrodynamics, sediment transport, habitat loss, and ecosystem services. Similar to many other developed coastal regions around the world,
ship, boat and watercraft traffic is increasing in typically low energy estuarine environments in Florida, driving the erosion of intertidal marshes and reefs and loss of their valuable services. <br>
<br>
We are seeking a candidate interested in working with an interdisciplinary research team of PIs, graduate students and undergraduates on this topic. The successful candidate will have experience and interest in the maintenance and field deployment of hydrodynamic
instruments (e.g. ADCP, PCADP, pressure sensors), in developing novel data analysis methods, and in model development and application. Experience working at the interface of hydrodynamics and ecology and environmental engineering will be considered an advantage.
The initial appointment will be for one year, with the option of extending it, based on performance. <br>
<br>
To apply, please contact Dr Angelini (<a href="mailto:c.angelini@ufl.edu" target="_blank"><span style="color:purple">c.angelini@ufl.edu</span></a>) or Dr Sheremet (<a href="mailto:alex.sheremet@essie.ufl.edu" target="_blank"><span style="color:purple">alex.sheremet@essie.ufl.edu</span></a>).
In your application, please include a cover letter, CV, brief research statement, and a list of references. The search will remain open until the position is filled. <br>
