This position requires expertise in optical instrumentation, its application in laboratory and field experiments, and data interpretation and reporting of scientific results. The candidate will use results from these analyses, and skills related to analytical instrument development, to identify and pursue new areas of research pertinent to the scientific mission of CIRES and NOAA CSD. The candidate will be required to work both independently and in a collaborative role with other investigators as project needs dictate. The candidate will be expected to participate in remote field deployments of approximately 4-6 weeks duration approximately every other year.
