This position will be based in the laboratory of Dr. Suzanne Tank at the University of Alberta, but will occur in close collaboration with Drs. William Quinton (Wilfrid Laurier University), Chris Spence (Environment Canada), David Olefeldt (University of Alberta) and scientists from the Government of the Northwest Territories Water Resources Division. The primary role of the post-doctoral fellow will be to analyze broad datasets of hydrology and biogeochemistry that have been collected from across a diverse series of watersheds located in the Northwest Territories’ discontinuous permafrost zone. The post-doctoral fellow will be expected to interact with project collaborators, produce peer-reviewed publications and scientific reports, and present project results to academic and northern community member audiences.

The University of Alberta (www.ualberta.ca) is one of Canada’s top five research institutions.
