<div class="">RHG is looking for an entrepreneurial and talented research analyst to join our Energy and Natural Resources team in California. You will conduct original energy and environmental policy and market research at the state, national and international
level for policymakers and the general public, as well as clients in the philanthropic, public and private sectors. You will work with RHG policy experts, economists, energy modelers and data engineers in tackling some of the most challenging energy and environmental
issues facing the country and the world.</div>

<div class="">Attractive candidates will have the following qualifications:<br class="">
<br class="">
<div class=""><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"></span>• Master’s degree or equivalent work experience.<br class="">
<br class="">
<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"></span>• Demonstrated expertise in energy market and policy analysis, particularly electricity.<br class="">
<br class="">
<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"></span>• Strong statistics background and proficiency in manipulating and analyzing large data sets.<br class="">
<br class="">
<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"></span>• Experience with energy system and/or electricity dispatch models, such as NEMS, IPM, ReEDS, MARKAL or GCAM.<br class="">
<br class="">
<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"></span>• Basic programing knowledge. R, Python or Fortran a plus.<br class="">
<br class="">
<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"></span>• Excellent writing and presentation skills.<br class="">
<br class="">
<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"></span>• Professionalism and intellectual curiosity.<br class="">
