<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">The Department of Geosciences at Boise State University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the broad field of Geophysics beginning in
Fall 2018. We encourage applications from individuals with strengths that complement existing and emerging research areas, and who can collaborate across disciplinary boundaries.The Geophysics Group in the Department of Geosciences has internationally recognized
research programs in seismology, hydrogeophysics, near-surface geophysics, snow-and-ice science, and volcanology. Emerging research areas of particular interest include, but are not limited to, marine geology and geophysics, geodynamics, and climate science.
A successful candidate will articulate a vision of active collaboration with researchers in the geophysics, Earth surface dynamics, and solid Earth geology groups in the Geoscience Department, as well as in the broader research communities at Boise State,
nationally, and internationally. We seek a dynamic candidate who will develop and maintain an externally funded research program, mentor graduate students, and engage in undergraduate and graduate teaching using evidence-based instructional practices. Boise
State University is ideally situated in the Northwest's third largest metropolitan area, and is a vibrant city with substantial cultural and recreational opportunities.
