Applications are invited from qualified individuals for a tenure-track appointment,
<b class="">Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Analytical Environmental Chemistry in the Department of Chemistry</b>. Anticipated start date is July 1, 2018. Applications from women and members of other underrepresented groups are especially encouraged. Recruitment
will be guided by the Government of Canada Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Action Plan for CRCs. The successful candidate will build an internationally-recognized program in analytical chemistry applied to environmental science, broadly defined. The Chair
will attract and maintain extramural funding, participate in graduate supervision, and contribute to the undergraduate and graduate analytical chemistry curriculum. Tier 2 chairs are intended for exceptional emerging scholars who have been active researchers
in their fields for fewer than 10 years at the time of nomination, although any breaks in the candidate's research career may be taken into account within the CRC guidelines. The Chemistry Department is the home of 20 faculty, 17 staff, and more than 80 graduate
students and postdoctoral fellows. The University of Saskatchewan is home to the Toxicology research and training centre, School of Environment and Sustainability, and Global Institute for Water Security.
