<div>The College of Engineering, Mathematics and Physical Sciences at the University of Exeter wishes to recruit a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to support the work of Professor Nadine Unger. The project will investigate air pollution risk to agriculture and
forest health in China in the present and future world, and is an interdisciplinary international collaboration between Exeter, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Peking University and Nanjing University.<br>

The post will apply the Joint UK Land Environment Simulator (JULES), global and regional air quality models, and multiple measurement datasets to: (1) calibrate and validate JULES and its crop representation JULES-crop in China; (2) quantify impacts of ozone
and aerosols on crops and forests in China; (3) attribute air pollution impacts on crops and forests to source sectors in China; (4) project future air quality impacts on crops and forests in China under global change. The successful applicant will be able
to present information on research progress and outcomes, communicate complex information, orally, in writing and electronically and prepare high quality publications for peer-review.<br>

Applicants will possess a recent PhD in climate science and be able to demonstrate sufficient experience in large-scale modelling of carbon-climate and/or chemistry-climate interactions. Previous experience with JULES is desirable.<br>
