<div><span style="font-family: Oxygen, sans-serif;">The Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at Central Michigan University invites applications for a tenure-track position in Meteorology at the Assistant Professor level, beginning Fall 2018. We seek
candidates with research interests in boundary layer meteorology and teaching interests in dynamic and physical meteorology. The selected candidate will teach courses in meteorology, develop an externally-funded research program that involves students, and
actively contribute to service initiatives that advance the department, college, and university.</span></div>

<div><span style="font-family: Oxygen, sans-serif;">Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in atmospheric science or a related field. In addition, candidates must demonstrate (1) potential for outstanding teaching, (2) potential to develop a vigorous research program
that involves students and attracts external funding, (3) strong verbal and written communication skills and (4) the ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.</span></div>

Ph.D. program in Earth and Ecosystems Science. The meteorology program includes a 24-workstation instructional lab, three multicore servers ingesting and serving meteorological data and running </span><span class="caps" style="font-family: Oxygen, sans-serif;">WRF</span><span style="font-family: Oxygen, sans-serif;"> forecasts,
a digital map wall, a radiosonde system, a Campbell weather station, and a Micro Rain Radar.
