<p>Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) is seeking a dynamic scientific
leader with a national and international reputation and record of accomplishment
to help lead and grow ORNL’s impact, adaptation, and vulnerability (IAV) research
portfolio. We are looking for a researcher with +10 years of
experience and a doctorate in geography, environmental science, computational
science, energy science, engineering, urban and regional planning, or economics. One key
focus areas for this position is to improve our understanding of how energy and
water systems are impacted by socio-economic, environmental, and population stresses,
including non-linear shocks, tipping points, and extreme weather and climate events. </p>

position, you will collaborate with other researchers in the Climate Change Science
Institute (CCSI) and the Urban Dynamics Institute (UDI). CCSI and
UDI are part of the Energy and Environmental Sciences (EESD) and Computer
and Computational Sciences (CCSD) directorates at ORNL. You will have
the opportunity to work in an extraordinary research collaborative environment
where you can draw upon the substantial expertise and tools from across ORNL,
