applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of </span><b style="font-size:12.8px">ASSISTANT PROFESSOR</b><span style="font-size:12.8px"> in Earth, Ocean or Environment Discipline-Based
Education Research (DBER). Successful
candidates will be expected to develop a vibrant, extramurally funded DBER research
program in any area of geosciences, marine sciences, or environmental sciences university-level
education research. We are especially interested in those whose research focuses
on teaching and learning, learner-centered teaching strategies, and evidence-based
teaching, learning and assessment practices at the undergraduate and graduate
level. This position is part of an anticipated
set of new DBER faculty positions in the sciences. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in an appropriate field of the natural sciences,
and research experience in teaching and learning. Postdoctoral experience is
preferred. This person will be responsible
for teaching science and DBER courses appropriate to his/her expertise at the
undergraduate and graduate levels within the School of the Earth, Ocean &

to mountains and coast. The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching
