researchers with extensive experience in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions modeling and data analysis for an Air Pollution Specialist position within the Emission and Exposure Research Section. The candidate will join a team of highly trained air quality and
climate researchers who are responsible for conducting and managing a variety of extensive in-house, collaborated, and extra-mural research studies on air quality and GHG emissions in California.</span><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif""><o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"">The selected candidate will be responsible for applying scientific methods and principles to advance the agency's
understanding of GHG emission sources, and initiate and conduct independent research studies to verify the GHG emissions inventory through source-based emissions research, and analysis of data from source apportionment and modeling studies. Candidate must
have proven record of accomplishment in conducting complex geospatial and statistical data analysis for large-scale projects like satellite and airborne remote sensing applications, ambient monitoring networks, mobile and source level flux measurements, and
major field studies. The position requires collaboration with a variety of program staff both within and outside the agency, and the candidate will require strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences
effectively.</span><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif""><o:p></o:p></span></p>

modeling system for GHG emissions in California. The position will require detailed emissions modeling skills to evaluate, quantify, and understand emission signature of statewide methane and nitrous oxide emission sources in the State. Candidates must have
broad knowledge of forward and inverse modeling techniques, and have prior experience in advanced atmospheric models such as WRF, STILT, LES, CMAQ, etc.
