<p class="MsoNormal">CLIMATE INVESTMENTS, IMPLEMENTATION SECTION. Are you interested in working on climate change and improving the environment and public health of California’s communities? We are seeking an Air Resources Engineer to implement the California
Climate Investments program, which utilizes Cap-and-Trade auction proceeds for transportation, land-use and housing, energy, natural resources, and waste diversion projects that further the purposes of the Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006 (AB 32), reduce
greenhouse gases to meet 2020, 2030, and 2050 targets, and benefit the State’s most disadvantaged and low income communities. Position responsibilities include conducting technical and policy assessments for ARB and the 14+ State agencies administering the
program to ensure investments reduce GHG emissions and provide environmental, economic, and public-health benefits to these communities. You will use engineering principles to develop innovative and robust analytical methods to assess the air quality, and
other environmental, economic, and public health co-benefits of these investments to the State. You will also work within the section to ensure program accessibility for disadvantaged communities, evaluate large data sets using statistics and Geographic Information
System (GIS) tools to assess the spatial and temporal distribution of benefits, and develop reports and interactive maps designed to provide accountability and transparency on the use of these dollars to the Board, the Administration, the Legislature, and
the public. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">This position will require communication and coordination with numerous State agencies, local governments, industry groups, and advocates for community and environmental interests. Duties also include presenting program information and
