font-size: 16px; line-height: 2;">The Department of
Meteorology and Atmospheric Science at The Pennsylvania State
University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant
Professor with expertise in one or more of the following
areas: atmospheric boundary layers, oceanic boundary layers,
and geophysical turbulence. Experience in field experiments,
observational methods, numerical modeling, and theoretical
fluid mechanics are all welcome. The successful candidate will
develop strong collaborations with other faculty members to
advance excellence in research and teaching. The department
has over 20 tenure-line faculty members engaged in a wide
range of research and teaching activities, providing a fertile
environment for collaboration and professional growth and
attracting outstanding undergraduate and graduate students.
Applicants require a Ph.D. in atmospheric science or a closely
