tenure track position in Earth Science at the assistant professor level, to
begin on Aug. 15, 2017. Responsibilities will involve teaching core
courses at all levels in Physics and Environmental Studies. This will
include Global Climate Change and an introduction to earth science course. The
successful candidate will demonstrate potential for developing a
research program in the earth sciences amenable to participation by
undergraduate students and demonstrating potential for external funding.
We are particularly interested in applicants who will contribute to the
departments’ commitment to increasing access and opportunities for populations
which are currently under-represented in areas such as Physics, Earth Science,
and Environmental Studies. Start-up funds are available. Post-doctoral
experience and/or prior teaching experience is desirable, and a PhD in
