especially interested in an individual with teaching interests focused on the
intersection of environmental science and policy with expertise and an
enthusiasm to teach in both the ENST Science Track and ENST Social Science
&amp; Policy Track of the ENST major and minor curriculum in addition to
teaching a regular rotation of common core courses in the major. &nbsp;A strong
candidate will have a PhD before August 2017, previous experience teaching in a
liberal arts context, and a high level of commitment to creative, undergraduate
education. Teaching responsibilities include six courses per year at the
introductory, intermediate, and/or advanced levels, and advising. &nbsp;The
development of an active research program involving undergraduates is expected.
We encourage applicants who wish to create local, national or international
field-studies opportunities. Service responsibilities include helping to
develop the Environmental Studies program and to participate in our shared college
governance.<b class=""> &nbsp;</b>Regular teaching
responsibilities will include ENST 100: <i class="">Introduction
to Environmental Studies</i>, ENST 490: <i class="">Environmental
Keystone Seminar,</i> ENST 250: <i class="">Introduction

in Environmental Social Science and Policy</i>, ENST 295: <i class="">Topics in Environmental Science</i>, and supervision and mentorship of
students completing a yearlong St. Mary’s Project. &nbsp;Examples of desirable

but are not limited to, natural resource policy or management (preferably
concentrating on estuarine or coastal systems); environmental policy, law, or
governance; environmental justice and social movements; energy policy; climate
