This is a full-time position and is eligible for benefits. The project will further understanding of the relationship between ocean physics and the biological pump. The postdoctoral investigator will study oceanic submesoscale processes and their implications for export of particulate organic matter as part of a NASA funded collaboration between Drs. A. Mahadevan (WHOI), D. Nicholson (WHOI), M. Omand (U.Rhode Island), A. Thompson (Caltech) and A. Martin (NOC Southampton).
