level to begin in July 2017. This position is associated with an interdisciplinary faculty cluster in the area of Society, Water, and Climate (SWC). Candidates should have demonstrated evidence of creative research in their discipline as well as the ability
to engage across disciplinary boundaries with those in other SWC-relevant fields.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

change. Research involving field, experimental, or modeling techniques is welcomed, but preference will be given to those whose work places significant emphasis on numerical modeling and/or quantitative analysis of large, distributed data sets. Potential home
departments include Atmospheric Sciences, Geology and Geophysics, and Geography.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

to lead society towards sustainable solutions in a changing world. This interdisciplinary hiring initiative is focused on enhancing the University of Utah’s core commitment to sustainability and complementing ongoing, related research across departments, colleges,
and centers on campus. The University of Utah has hired an ecohydrologist, atmospheric scientist, and a glaciologist as part of the first round of funding. We are concurrently searching for a social scientist as part of the SWC cluster. A full description
