The Biology Department at Occidental College invites applications for a<br>
tenure track position in Marine Environmental Science. The ideal candidate<br>
will develop both research and teaching programs centered on the challenges<br>
of marine environmental sciences, including topics such as the urban-ocean<br>
interface, restoration ecology, oceanography, climate change, and global<br>
processes. Preference will be given to applicants who are able to expand<br>
our offerings in quantitative reasoning and computational analysis,<br>
statistics, hypothesis testing, experimental design, and modeling.<br>
Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Biology or related field. The faculty<br>
member will participate in teaching an introductory level biology course,<br>
an intermediate or upper level course in the area of specialty, and will<br>
develop a rigorous, externally fundable research program involving<br>
undergraduates. Occidental is a nationally ranked small liberal arts<br>
