(2) </span><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:"Times New Roman""><span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>tenure-track faculty positions at the </span><span style="font-size:10.5pt;font-family:"Times New Roman"">Assistant or Associate
Professor </span><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:"Times New Roman""><span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>level in </span><span style="font-size:10.5pt;font-family:"Times New Roman"">Physical Geography</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:"Times New Roman"">Research
specializations should complement existing departmental strengths in
biogeography, climatology,</span><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:"Times New Roman""> and/or
geomorphology. Combinations of research expertise among these specialties are
encouraged as well as the integration with geospatial technologies. Essential
characteristics include publications commensurate with experience; demonstrated
capability to secure external funding; ability to contribute to GIS research
and teaching; and the ability to strengthen the graduate program in Geography
through course offerings and mentoring
students. Candidates should have the potential for creating synergies with
existing Department</span><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:"Times New Roman""> strengths,
must have a Ph.D. at the time of appointment, and a have strong commitment to
excellence in research
and teaching. These two positions are part of a group of tenure-track lines to
be filled over the coming year, as we are also searching for three human
geographers.</span></p>

climatology, geomorphology, human geography, human-environment relationships,

Information Science and Technology (GIST). We are based in the College of
Geosciences</span></p>

with the Departments of Atmospheric Sciences, Geology & Geophysics, and</span><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:"Times New Roman""> Oceanography,
and play a major role in the Environmental Programs in Geosciences. The College
