The post holder will be responsible for exploring links between the environment and human health through the analysis of very large time series datasets. They will be part of the COPE study team (<a href="http://gtr.rcuk.ac.uk/projects?ref=MR/L019744/1" style="margin:0px;padding:0px;color:rgb(0,101,124)">gtr.rcuk.ac.uk/projects?ref=MR/L019744/1</a>), which aims to reduce the frequency of hospital and GP visits by patients with respiratory disease.</p><p style="margin:0px 0px 1em;padding:0px;color:rgb(51,51,51);font-family:Arial,Helvetica,Verdana,sans-serif;font-size:12.144px;line-height:19.4304px">The primary analysis dataset links high resolution personal environmental and activity measurements with health metrics. In combination with other associated datasets, this represents the largest dataset of its kind in the world, with well over one billion data points.</p><p style="margin:0px 0px 1em;padding:0px;color:rgb(51,51,51);font-family:Arial,Helvetica,Verdana,sans-serif;font-size:12.144px;line-height:19.4304px">The successful candidate will have a strong background in novel statistical or graphical analysis of large datasets relating to the environment or health.
