Lab in the Department of Geology and Environmental Science at the University of Pittsburgh.<u></u><u></u></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">The successful candidate will collaborate with ongoing projects that investigate the organic and stable isotope biogeochemical record of environmental change preserved in aquatic sedimentary systems.
Projects focus on using compound-specific stable isotope techniques on terrestrial and lacustrine samples from modern through Quaternary timescales in multiple systems, including Lake Junin, Peru and Lake Chalco, Mexico, among others in western North America.<u></u><u></u></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">Primary duties will include maintaining and troubleshooting laboratory instrumentation such as GC, GC/MS, and irmGC-MS, extraction, separation, and analysis of biomarker compounds, and assisting graduate
and undergraduate students in the labs. The successful candidate should have strong analytical and instrumentation skills and hold a PhD in geochemistry or a closely related field.
