Facility for Airborne Atmospheric Measurements (FAAM), based at
Cranfield University, is recruiting an Instrument Scientist or
Instrument Engineer in Atmospheric Science.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"
style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto;margin-left:18.0pt">You
will be a highly motivated individual - with a background in the
physical sciences or engineering – and will work with airborne
observational groups in atmospheric science, as an Instrument
Research Scientist/Engineer. You will design, prepare, maintain
and operate airborne research instruments for worldwide
deployment.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"
style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto;margin-left:18.0pt">You
will have a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (and
preferably a higher qualification) in physical science or a
suitable engineering discipline and be willing to work in the
laboratory, on the atmospheric research aircraft and in the field.
Employed by the University of Leeds, you will be a member of
the FAAM team based at Cranfield.<o:p></o:p></p>

style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto;margin-left:18.0pt">There
is the opportunity for those with a PhD and previous research
experience to add a research remit to this role. This will involve
active participation in the collaborative research programme in
atmospheric technology.<o:p></o:p></p>
