pursue a Master of Science degree under my supervision in the Department of
Geography and the Environment at the University of North Texas (UNT) beginning

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none">The student will work as part of a larger research team on
a National Science Foundation CAREER grant “Intra-Urban Variability in Black
Carbon Deposition: Rates, Pathways, and Determinants”.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>The project will investigate to what extent
city trees function as urban air filters, capturing black carbon particles from
the atmosphere and then depositing them to soil.</p>
