research position is part of the NERC collaborative Project
CLARIFY (CLoud-Aerosol-Radiation Interactions and Forcing).
CLARIFY involves the universities of Exeter, Leeds, Manchester,
Reading, Oxford and the Met Office. The overall objective of
CLARIFY is to use the natural laboratory of the southeast
Atlantic to improve our understanding of aerosol-radiation and
aerosol-cloud interaction processes and their impacts on local,
regional and global weather and climate. CLARIFY involves an
intensive airborne field campaign in 2016 with supporting
surface and satellite measurements over the southeast Atlantic.
The measurements will be used to develop improved models at
different spatial scales from the cloud scale to the global
scale that couple aerosols, clouds and radiation.
