need a talented scientist to carry out research on the drivers
and mechanisms of variability and change in East Asian climate
as part of two projects (LOTUS: Long Term Undulation versus
secular change in Chinese Climate and DYVA: Global Dynamics of
climate Variability and impacts on East Asia) which are funded
through the Met Office led Climate Science for Service
Partnership: China (CSSP China), supported by the Newton Fund.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

will analyse observations and conduct numerical climate model
experiments to improve scientific understanding of the drivers
and mechanisms that govern changes in drought and extreme
temperatures over China, with a particular focus on the role of
anthropogenic greenhouse gases, aerosols, and variability in the
Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
