            is seeking a professional looking to apply his or her
            expertise in hydrology and water resources management as the
            Water Availability Research Coordinator in the Research and
            Development (R&amp;D) Office. The R&amp;D Office identifies
            technical and scientific problems affecting accomplishment
            of Reclamation's mission, promotes development of
            cost-effective solutions, and communicates those solutions
            to Reclamation offices, other water and power management
            officials and the general public.<br style="box-sizing:

            The incumbent would support R&amp;D’s Science and Technology
            (S&amp;T) program through implementation of four primary
            areas: strategic planning, research projects coordination,
            external collaboration, and internal capacity building. Work
            includes engaging with Reclamation's leadership, scientists,
            and research facility managers to develop and maintain a
            research strategy addressing water availability needs in a
            changing climate that reflects the needs of water managers
            in the western United States; coordinating the annual
            implementation of S&amp;T water availability research that
            includes brokering high-priority projects in collaboration
            with internal and external researchers; expanding
            Reclamation’s capacity, knowledge, and tools for water
            availability analysis and technology development by
            developing partnerships with universities, Federal research
            organizations, national laboratories, state and local
            agencies, and foreign organizations; serving as R&amp;D
            liaison to targeted users of water availability research
            products; and, contributing to S&amp;T Technology Prize

          A. Degree: physical or natural science, or engineering that
          included at least 30 semester hours in any combination of
          courses in hydrology, the physical sciences, geophysics,
          chemistry, engineering science, soils, mathematics, aquatic

          resources. The course work must have included at least 6
          semester hours in calculus (including both differential and
          integral calculus), and at least 6 semester hours in physics.

          Applicants with related experience in hydrology gained through
          earlier Federal Government employment might have gained that
