<p class="MsoNormal">The School of Natural Resources (SNR) and
the National Drought Mitigation Center (NDMC) located at the
University of Nebraska are looking for a Director to lead the
NDMC activities. The current NDMC Director, Dr. Michael
Hayes, has announced that he will be stepping down from his
position when a new Director is hired and in place. Dr. Hayes
will be resuming faculty-level duties with a research and
teaching appointment to assist the nascent undergraduate
program in Applied Climate Science within the SNR at UNL.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Applicants for the NDMC Director position
will be reviewed beginning January 15, 2016. The required
qualifications for this position include a Ph.D. in climate
science, meteorology, geography, risk assessment, or related
field; at least 5 years of post-Ph.D. experience;
administrative experience or skills; and a proven track record
of research, publications, and grant funding commensurate with
years of experience.<o:p></o:p></p>
