The Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at University of<br>
California, Irvine, invites applications for a faculty position at the level<br>
of Assistant Professor beginning Fall 2016. Faculty research in the<br>
department spans a wide range of topics in ecology, evolution, and<br>
physiology (<a href="http://ecoevo.bio.uci.edu/" rel="noreferrer" target="_blank">http://ecoevo.bio.uci.edu/</a>). Candidates for this position should<br>
address the interaction between organisms and the atmosphere. Research<br>
topics might include genetics, ecology, or physiology of the emission or<br>
uptake of atmospheric constituents; or the impacts of air quality on plants,<br>
microbes, animals, or ecosystems. Atmospheric constituents are broadly<br>
defined and can include volatiles, trace gases, or particulates. The<br>
successful applicant is expected to conduct a strong research program and<br>
contribute to the teaching mission of the University of California. This<br>
position is part of a high impact hiring cluster at the interface of air<br>
quality and climate change. The successful candidate is expected to be an<br>
integral part of a campus-wide collaboration under the umbrella of the<br>
AirUCI institute (<a href="http://airuci.uci.edu/" rel="noreferrer" target="_blank">http://airuci.uci.edu/</a>).<br>
