The Department of Geology at Appalachian State
University, Boone, North Carolina, invites applications for a
full-time non-tenure-track
position as a Lecturer beginning August 2016. This is a one-year
appointment
that may be renewed pending funding availability and
satisfactory performance. We
seek a hydrogeologist or a person in a related
discipline <span>to support the
teaching of laboratory sections of an upper-level undergraduate
hydrogeology
course and introductory laboratory courses for the 2016-2017
academic year. The
preferred candidate will have </span>field and teaching
experience in
groundwater monitoring and testing and data analysis. The
successful candidate
will be expected to use the ASU Educational Wellfield in teaching
the
hydrogeology laboratory. Other laboratory teaching will include
physical geology,
environmental geology, and an introductory hydrology course for
non-majors. <span>The candidate
must have an M.S. degree or higher (Ph.D. preferred) at the time
of appointment
and must possess a strong commitment to undergraduate education.<o:p></o:p></span><BR>
