person hired for this position will conduct research on
current and future health risks of an older population to
urban ozone and extreme heat, indoors and outdoors. The
research will include analysis of current and future
atmospheric conditions and air quality; analysis of
demographic and housing characteristics as they relate to
population’s exposure, sensitivity and adaptive capacity to
extreme heat and ozone; development and application of
statistical methods to model the combined effect of air
pollution, climate, building characteristics, and social
vulnerability on relative risk of mortality and morbidity
among older urban populations.</p>
